CSA Winter Program Info
Launching of our late fall & winter CSA program for 2017 / 2018
CSA farms (Community Shared Agriculture) develop a partnership between the farmer and those who consume their food.
By purchasing a share of the fall harvest each consumer benefits by receiving a variety of fresh and winter stored produce grown locally. In this way the consumer can support their local farmer through-out the winter months.. The farmer benefits by ensuring that a designated portion the produce gathered up during the fall has a ready market during the winter months.
How it works
In October first opportunity is given to our summer CSA members. Then, in early November opportunity is given to those who would like to join our program based on the number of available shares left.
Your share is a portion of the fall harvest plus any fresh produce that can survive frost and/or winter conditions.

About our our honey bees …..No honey this year.
We are still wading through the learning process when it comes to taking care of and nurturing our four colonies of honey bees. The honey bees had a tough year and did not produce well. They were less active due to the wet weather and overcast conditions during the summer months.
